CAST Crocs Try Outs
When : September 8th, 5pm
Where: Kroc Center in Coeur d' Alene (competition pool), must have Kroc Center Membership or day pass
What to Bring: suit, towel & goggles along with completed registration forms & a checkbook
* please fill out forms online via the computer then print and bring to the pool. Please type in the blank forms instead of printing and filling them out with pen. Please bring a check for the current month and a blank check for the auto debit for the following months.
Welcome to Coeur d' Alene Area Swim Team (CAST) and USA Swimming!
Welcome to our Swim Team website. You don’t have to be a great swimmer to get started. Our entry level program is specifically designed for swimmers who enjoy the water and can swim two lengths of two different strokes in a 25 yard pool unassisted
Our emphasis is on establishing proper stroke technique in a fun and challenging environment. If you love to swim and are ready to take the next step up from a lesson program, Cast is the way to go.
Our goal is to promote competitive swimming in Coeur d' Alene and the surrounding area. Further goals are to teach cooperation, leadership, self-control, decision-making, and good sportsmanship. CAST is a place for all levels of swimmers, from young novice swimmers to National level swimmers . While winning is important, it is not the sole purpose of the CAST. Every swimmer on the team is a winner and should be made to feel that way.
The sport of swimming has many benefits, including the people you and your child will meet. The camaraderie among swimmers is unique, and many swimmers and their parents become lifelong friends. Swimming as a competitive sport is second to none in fostering the development of many valuable life skills. These include work ethic, determination, goal setting, time management, self-improvement, risk taking, teamwork, sportsmanship and self-discipline. Your child will reap the benefits of swimming long after their competitive participation ends.
Join the excitement by becoming a member of the Coeur d Alene Area Swim Team. Evaluations to see if you are ready for the swimmming program are available by appointment. Previous team experience is not required; the evaluation is designed to make sure new participants are properly placed into practice groups. Plan to bring goggles, towel and all five registration forms on the below links filled out.
* All CAST swimmers including those trying out for the team NEED to be members of The Kroc Center or purchase a day pass prior to starting *
CLUB FEES: These are the fees that a swimmer pays when joining CAST . These fees go towards the club expenses such as, swimmers training, coaches wages & taxes, coaches education/certification/recertification, pool rental, office supplies, insurance, software & computers, and much more. Club fees are adjusted to meet economic conditions, but are kept at the lowest possible rate to assist family’s with being a part of an affordable,quality swimming program.
